October is Manufacturing Month
Earlier this month Governor Scott Walker proclaimed October as Manufacturing Month throughout the State of Wisconsin to recognize the economic strength that a strong manufacturing industry brings to the state. Wisconsin is recognized for its diversity in manufacturing including subsectors such as paper, machinery manufacturing, electrical equipment, printing, fabricated metal manufacturing, and wood product manufacturing.
“With over 9,500 manufacturing employers in the state, it is imperative our future workforce be familiar with the quality careers that manufacturing offers,” Governor Walker said. “Manufacturing Month offers students, parents, and the public the opportunity to experience a firsthand view of today’s modern manufacturers found throughout Wisconsin.”
